R-TYPE II App Reviews

I grew up playing games like the one in question. There for perhaps Im slightly biased, but Im having a lot of fun with this app. Its true that the touch controls arent ideal, but they are serviceable. Other wise I really cant complain.

R-Type Delta is my favorite game of all time. When I found this game in the App Store I had to get it. Awesome game and thank you.

I dont have faith in touch controls for old classics but this surprised me. Its not perfect and its not exactly the same but it is enough that Im having a lot of fun reliving the game on the go! The controls would benefit from a sensitivity setting. Otherwise, graphics are smooth, only minor slowdowns occasionally when lots of stuff is happening. You can set the graphics filter and interlaced modes on or off. Nicely done and well worth the .99c on the holiday special!

Can you include better control options. D-Pad or sensitivity options would be great additions.

I cant believe this is available on my iPhone. I loved playing this when I was in my twenties. Now Im just living in amnesia land trying to remember how I conquered this back in the day!!! Thank you.

This was my favorite game in my local arcade at college. I played it all the time. Now I can play it on my phone and remember those sweaty evenings, feverishly pounding on the Fire button, thinking how foolish it was that I wasnt working on my paper that was due in twelve hours.

I noticed that the first level of the game starts on the second level of the original game. And the music is different, like sped up. But it is a fun game from my child hood

Great game but needs the original joystick controls (feel & response) from the Original R-Type...the joystick on this R-Type 2 is very hard to control and maneuver the R-Type away from or towards which makes the game virtually unplayable...#ifitsnotbrokenyfixit#

R-Type is an awesome game series that kick my butt back to back. And I love it! The only problem I have with this game is that they need to add sensitivity controls in options so players can adjust the touch screen controls. I also notice the slowdowns during gameplay, but its not much of a problem though because the slowdown can help you get pass through the barrage of bullets on screen. This is an awesome game. If they add that in this port, it would be perfect!
